What a Wedding Photographer does on their (so called) Spare Time

Christmas Cookie Bouquets. Photographs by Dallas Wedding Photographers, K & S Photography

A year ago I dabbled with making a cookie bouquet, not really sure what inspired it, but I had a lot of fun baking.   My first attempt tasted great (I make the sugar cookie dough from scratch), but when it came to putting it together, I had a ton of trouble with the icing smearing.  I posted my success/failure on Facebook and Sarah from Sweet Art Bakery was so kind to let me know that I had to let the icing set for 24 hours (thank you so much for helping a novice baker Sarah).  I made another one a month or so later and it turned out much  better.  Since I had  success in the past, I decided for my Christmas gifts I would make cookie bouquets.  I am so happy to say that these are my best yet and I think they turned out so cute.  I have to give credit to my husband Ray too as he helped decorate some (ok a lot) of the cookies.  Thank you sweetie, you are the best!!! And of course being a photographer, I had to photograph my creation 🙂

I had so much fun driving around Dallas and Fort Worth yesterday dropping these off and I hope everyone enjoyed them.
