What a Wedding Photographer does on their (so called) Spare Time

A year ago I dabbled with making a cookie bouquet, not really sure what inspired it, but I had a lot of fun baking.   My first attempt tasted great (I make the sugar cookie dough from scratch), but when it came to putting it together, I had a ton of trouble with the icing...

My fur kids

For anyone that is friends with me on Facebook knows I talk about my fur kids (a lot) and most of the pictures I post are ones taken with my i-Phone (so they quality isn’t the greatest).  So here are some professional, non-iPhone pictures of Roxxy (above) and Napoleon.  I have posted some pictures of...

Holiday Traditions

The Holidays are upon us.  I just love this time of year, that probably stems from my mom’s love of Christmas.  She always went all out decorating the house and made a huge ordeal decorating the tree.  My mom, brother, and I would get all the ornaments out and decorate the tree (usually the day after...

  • LauraWe were lucky in that Nathan’s big Christmas celebration was Christmas Eve dinner and church service, while my family celebrates on Christmas Day. As our families mature, I know the holidays won’t be this simple, so we definitely appreciate the time we have now!ReplyCancel

  • HollyI wanted to tell you that I think it’s an incredible idea to do the Cans for Comments! What a blessing to those in need… all we have to do is take the time to write a simple sentence. God Bless you and have a Merry Christmas!ReplyCancel

  • AdrianaTraditions are so hard to make…. I have been married for almost 10 years and we have three beautiful children and it still seems that we have not established any. We started camping last year on Christmas and hoped that we could do it again this year, but it seems that it is going to be too cold (we live on the GA/FL border). I like your Angel tradition, maybe we can do it too.

Good luck with comments for cans!

      • Veronica ZamoraHi,
I was the florist for Christie’s Wedding. Your photos are amazing! I’m wondering if you would be willing to send me copies for my portfolio (online & print)? I’ll gladly add a link to your website from mine.

Which comes first Hair or Make-up?

Karey and I have been doing wedding photography for a few years now.  For some reason, everytime we are photographing the getting ready part, girls get their hair done first.  My first questions is why?  Doesn’t it make sense to get your make-up done first?  Stop and think about it for a second.  If you...
