I’m so excited to share these photos with you.  They are featured on Polka Dot Bride so I get to share them (I’ve been dying to)

Let me just start off saying that I loved loved loved this engagement session.  I’m a huge fan of the Classic 1930’s and 40’s film noir.  They are mysterious, dark, sexual, moody, witty, and down right gritty.  I love the characters and how they play off each other, I’m in awe of the lighting, the drama of it all.  If you haven’t watched Strangers on a Train, or Double Indemnity you are so missing out.  I urge you to go rent it (red box, netflix, blockbuster) and curl up with you sweetie and watch. 

So when John and Valerie came to me, the first thing they said is they wanted something cinematic for their engagement session.  The two met while working at a local movie theater and John is an aspiring actor.  So we played around with some ideas and came up with the concept of creating their own film noir but in still images.  We cast John as the detective and Valerie as the infamous femme fatale.  Ok so now we had our leads, then we set out to find a gritty, run down motel, costumes for both of them and of course props.  We were then ready to make our movie.  So sit back, grab some popcorn and enjoy the show.
