On our year end blog post, that featured K & S Photography’s favorite Dallas Wedding Moments, I said for each comment left a can of food would be donated to the North Texas Food Bank. I have done this every year and normally we get about 170 comments. Well, I was in a for a HUGE surprise because this year, because we received 700 comments. I was floored and very grateful that so many people took the time to vote for their favorite wedding moment. I began to wonder though, how am I going to buy and transport 700 cans of food. I quickly discovered that two trips would be needed. I am posting photos from the first trip we did today. I bought 350 cans/items of food and was so glad my husband was there to help me with the heavy lifting. It was fun knowing that I am helping those in need and making a difference one can of food at a time. I look forward to doing more shopping and donating tomorrow 🙂
The food banks need to be restocked after the holidays and so I always love helping out where I can. It is also a great way of giving back for all the blessings I have had over the previous year. I do believe when you open your heart and help others in need, it does more for you and brings joy and happiness to your life. I encourage others to donate, pay it forward, and help others in need. And feel free to leave comments with some different ways you help others and bring hope into other people’s lives. Hey I can use some new and fresh ideas too 🙂
And thank you again for everyone’s votes and support for our wedding couple’s and for K & S Photography. We so love being wedding photographers and being able to capture such special memories for all of you, seriously we work with the best people!!!
