One of the best things about being a wedding photographer is getting to take bridal photos. I just love seeing a bride let loose and have fun and let their personality shine through. I get to capture the essence of my brides and when I show them photos on the back of my camera, they look in awe at that beautiful bride staring back at them, they take a second and then realize OMG that beautiful person is ME!!! It’s the best feeling in the world to make a woman feel this way. I felt especially honored to make Jennifer feel like the gorgeous woman she is because as a nurse, she is busy taking care of others. She is such a warm and caring person and was so glad she had her mom and aunt and uncle there at her bridal session. I could tell their presence helped put Jennifer at ease and helped me get these gorgeous images.  I know it can be nerve wracking to get portraits done and being a “model”for a day but when you have people let calm you, it makes for amazing images. And trusting your photographer is key and Jennifer put her complete faith in me, thanks girl for trusting me :).

Oh and of course, isn’t Jennifer’s vintage wedding dress perfect!!!! I adore the lace and her floral crown and I love the boho look, it really suited her perfectly. We worked through sunset to get this killer light and I’m just so excited I can finally share these. That is the one thing I hate about bridals, I have to wait until after wedding day to post photos to our blog. I’m just overly eager but hey can you blame me with these :).

Bridal Portraits at White Rock Lake

This last one is sooooo amazing!!!!! I had just told Jennifer we were done (but didn’t have my camera put up) and saw her glowing and quickly snapped this image. She looks sooooo happy and it really shows here. I knew Jennifer realllllyyyyyy loved this image when she changed this to her FB profile picture on Friday, even though the wedding wasn’t till Saturday.  She was super eager to show it off and I don’t blame her, I would too :).
