Let me just start out saying, Edwin and Raquel’s wedding at Hidden Springs Events in Aubrey, Texas was the last one we photographed for the 2014 wedding season and WOW did we go out with a bang!!!! They are they the sweetest couple but Edwin is head over heels in love with Raquel, Just go see their engagement pictures and see what I mean but this was such a fun, family oriented wedding. Raquel and Edwin are met at West Point and both have served our country in Afghanistan and Iraq; in fact they were both stationed in different parts of Afghanistan when Raquel contacted me. We had met before when I photographed, Chelsea and Chris’ Wedding and I got to see her again at Sara and Blake’s Wedding. See Raquel, Sara, Chelsea, and our future bride Meredith have all been friends since high school and have been bridesmaids in each other’s weddings. They are seriously the best group of girls EVER and feel so blessed to have been each one of their wedding photographers.
Other cool things besides getting to see these lovely girls, is that I had a chance to work with both of my office mates, Elan Make-up and Each and Every Detail, so you know one of these photos is going up in the office (oh goodness I don’t even know how to decide. I mean just look at all the photos in this blog post, I seriously could not narrow down to a decent number, it is soooo hard to for generally, but when you have such a gorgeous wedding like this, how can you not just post a ton of photos hahahaha. And so onto all the photos :).
I’m a sucker for the leaves changing in the Fall and had to take a pictures of Raquel’s dress hanging with all the pretty leaves around it.
I think I talked Sara into doing the dance she did for Blake and their wedding and then she got Chelsea in on it. Hahahaha 6 months later and they still remember it :).
This was a special box that Edwin gave to Raquel and they used into to hold the coins; it’s traditional in the Hispanic culture to present coins to the bride to show he will provide for her.
This was my first time getting to photograph a saber exit at wedding and for someone who comes from a military family, it was sooooo cool to be a part of it. And you might wonder why she has a veil and then she doesn’t, well the veil flew off right as she started walking under the sabers, but no worries, someone quickly grabbed it.
Raquel had a country theme to her wedding and so of course I had to include the red pick-up in the photo of the bridal party 🙂
They are sooooo cute together and love capturing gorgeous images like all of these. Plus the light was amazing!!!!
I saw the sun coming through the trees and even though I told them we were done with photos, I had to take just one more, I mean can you blame me 🙂
I don’t think I saw the dance floor empty all night, and love seeing people have this much fun at a wedding.
