I am sooooo beyond happy for Tricia and Nickie!!!! They have been together for 16 years and were thrilled they could finally legally marry in their home state of Texas. These two started planning their elopement to coincide with their planned vacation (that would now be their honeymoon). Isn’t that cool after 16 years, these two were getting to have a wedding ceremony and a honeymoon. I knew I wanted to be able to document this special day for them.
It was a hot day in August, but no one really noticed. There were too many smiles and happiness that no one really noticed. It was the sweetest ceremony with just Tricia and Nickie, their son, close friend, officiant, Hair/mua artist, and myself. There was laughter and tears and overwhelming joy. It was perfect!!!! At at last these two are now wife and wife and how amazing is it to say that and have it be legal.
We had to get a family photo in their initialed robes with the whole family, including the fur baby.
They have a gorgeous pool and had to take a photo of them before we headed to the Dallas Arboretum for their wedding ceremony. It really reflected the pretty blue sky.
We took photos in front of Nickie’s favorite tree at the Arboretum, I mean how could we not.
They were so giddy that we had to show the fun and happiness in the photos. That is how they were feeling.
I can’t remember how many times I shed tears during their ceremony but it was so sweet and so personal and so filled with love. It was perfect!!!!
This butterfly danced around during the whole ceremony and never left. It was really cool and had to capture a photo of it. After all, a butterfly symbolizes transformation and what more profound transformation is there than becoming one with someone and pledging to spend your life with them.
At last!!!!! So happy for you two and so honored to have captured these memories for you.
