Top Dallas Wedding Moments | Dallas Wedding Photographers

As Fall is here in Dallas, it has me looking back all on the weddings we have photographed this year and some of my favorite moments we have captured.  One of the reasons why I love being a wedding photographer in dallas is that I get to photograph all the wonderful little moments that happen at a wedding.  Some of these moments are filled with smiles and laughter while others bring tears to your eyes.  I know these moments will be treasured and looked back at fondly.  I also love that the same emotions will flood back to the bride and groom and their loved ones when they look at these photos.   Here are some of my favorite wedding moments so far in 2013 🙂

These two lovely people are the Deena’s parents and they were the last two on the dance floor during the anniversary dance.  They have been married for over 50 years and the bride’s dad gave everyone a huge thumbs up.  It was such a great moment of joy.

This is from our wedding at off the grid with Andy and Doug.  Andy wrapped his arms around Doug as we were taking photos on the rooftop and I just love how emotional this photo.  I firmly believe in the power of touch and the embrace of one’s hands is one of the most powerful interactions we can have.

After the Ellen and Tim’s first look they wanted some pictures of them playing basketball or well pretending to.  Then the groom ran up and dunked the ball.  It was a such a great, fun moment to photograph.

This is such a beautiful image of our bride Seema.  We were getting ready to do some portraits of her by the window and she turned and looked so stunning I just snapped the photo.

Such a lovely moment during Seema and Finley’s First Look.  They are just so incredibly happy to being getting married.

When I first met with Michelle and Jeff they told me about their daytime wedding and how they wanted an exit shot but they weren’t sure how to go about it.  I suggested they do a rose petal exit at the chapel with rose petals.  They loved my idea and we got some super fun, cute shots like this one.  They told me later how happy they were they took this advice.  They adore these photos and that puts a smile on my face 🙂

Such an emotional moment as our grooms, Andy and Doug, embraced their moms right after their ceremony.  It was so sweet!!!

Some of my favorite moments to capture are on the dance floor because people really let loose and have fun.  I truly believe weddings are a huge celebration and a time to have fun with those closest to you.  Here is Doug tearing up the dance floor.

Andy and Doug’s wedding was originally planned for outside but it rained and then rained again, so the ceremony was moved indoors.  This actually turned out to be a huge blessing.  At the conclusion of Doug and Andy’s ceremony, their friends and family roared with cheers and clapping and it echoed tin the walls of Off The Grid.  That huge cheer of excitement would not have been possible outdoors.  It made this moment so much more emotional.

Kendre’s grandmother walked into the bridal suite and was just stunned with how beautiful Kendre looked.  She held her face and then gave her a kiss.  It was such a tender moment and it made me tear up.  It’s such a treasured moment that I know this family will look back on fondly.

This moment cracked me up.  I saw these kids start to give him a new hairdo and of course I had to take it.  I had my 70-200mm lens on my camera so they weren’t even aware of this photograph being taken.  It’s one of those crazy, real moments that just happens and it is such a joy to know my couples can look at this and laugh.

Both of these photos have similar moments, the bride and groom being surrounded by loved ones on the dance floor.  It’s such a cool moment to look back on and seeing how much fun was had and all the love and support that surrounds these newlyweds.

The bride was getting ready and doing all the finishing touches like getting the veil put on and in walks her Step-Dad.  He walks over and tells Kelly how beautiful she is and she loses it.  He gently put his arm around her and kisses her on the cheek.  At the same time,  Kelly’s mom touches her shoulder to comfort her and she starts tearing up.  It hands down is one of my all time favorite moments to capture at a wedding.

In this photo, Kaci was reading the love letter James wrote her.  Immediately she started forming tears and a bridesmaid ran and got her some tissues. And I snapped this shot as she went to wipe away the tears.

This was a fun moment to capture as the groom, James, gave all his groomsmen a high five as they walked down for the ceremony.  You could tell he was soooo beyond happy to be getting married.

I love this moment because the ring bearer didn’t want to even sit by the flower girl or hold her hand during our formal pictures.  But then when it comes time to dance, he is holding her close 🙂

I laugh when I see this photograph as it shows us where technology is today.  Nothing like whipping out the big ipad for a group selfie.  But it will be a memory that is treasured by Deena and Mark and their friends.

Such a tender moment from the first look of Justin and Lauren.  It can be so overwhelming to see the love of your life right before you walk down the aisle.  Lauren told me she would start crying to.

This is such a sweet moment from Lauren and Justin’s first look.  Happiness is always one of my favorite things to photograph.

These two moments tie in together from Ben and Kristina’s wedding at the Bella Donna Chapel in McKinney.  They were embraced with big hugs by their father in laws.  Such a key moment to see how happy the families were to have them married.

You get a bunch of groomsmen on the dance floor together and throw in their school song and its a recipe for some crazy, fun times.

I love the emotion that comes from a first look.  It’s a moment for the couple to just enjoy each other and take the commitment they are about to embark on.  This was such a loving moment and Dustin held Katie close.

Dustin and Katie’s romance blossomed when they took a ballroom class together as friends.  It was only fitting they did one of these dances for their first dance as husband and wife.  They look so happy and graceful here.

This little girl cracked me up.  She watched me photograph the wedding party and heard me tell everyone to get closer.  She then stepped up to my radio transmitter on my light stand and that turned into her camera.  She would run over to her parents and tell them to get closer.  I smile every time  I see this photo and I’m sure her parents do as well :).

I love this moment between our bride Kaci’s grandparents.  It’s such a gift to have someone look at you with such love in their eyes after so many years.  What a blessing!!!

With the Fall wedding season here, we can’t wait to capture more of the special moments at our dallas weddings and it’s why I love being a wedding photographer.
