Josh and Jackie’s Wedding Day at Kimball Art Museum

I had so much fun getting to take these wedding portraits for Jackie and Josh and we met up in Fort Worth. I just fell in love with the classic, old Hollywood vibe of Jacke’s wedding dress and wanted the photography for the portraits to have an old 30’s style. The Kimbell Art Museum was...

I met up with Trip and Lindsay last Friday for their engagement session.  We had so much find finding spots in the Dallas Arts district for pictures.  It’s one of my favorite spots in downtown Dallas.   You can find pretty tulips planted and then a cool art installation on loan to the city.  So...

Sergio and Lacey’s Celebrate Their 2nd Wedding Anniversary

I met up with Sergio and Lacey a couple of months back for some anniversary photos.  They had just celebrated their 2nd wedding anniversary.  So Big CONGRATS to them!!!!!!!  Personally, I feel anniversary pictures are just as important as engagement photos.  You should document your wedding anniversaries as each year that passes is just as...

        • Robert Welch | New Orleans Wedding PhotographerWhat a wonderful idea for a 2nd Wedding Anniversary, nicely done. The juxtaposition between the married couple dressed up in their wedding attire surrounded by the modern city hustle & bustle is an interesting project. I think it’s a nice concept to reflect the inner world of two people who have their own personal space with each other, in the context of the bigger, impersonal world we live in. These photos nicely show in an artistic way how we live this dual life between the romanticized world of weddings and nuptial bliss, and the cold, hard world of urban life.ReplyCancel

The Lathan Family Session at the Mandalay Canals

Every year in October/November I get to photograph the Lathan Family and I so look forward to seeing them.  It’s really amazing as a photographer to photograph families and see the kids get bigger and to see them grow.  I hear about soccer games and how that’s going.  When I first started photographing them Caleb...
