I met up with Mark and Danielle last year (still getting used to it being a new year) for the romantic engagement session around Dallas. We first met at the Dallas Arboretum, where their wedding will be next year, and ended at Trinity Groves overlooking downtown Dallas at night.

There is nothing better than photographing a couple this in love. They make my job as their wedding photographer super easy. I could see Danielle’s eyes light up every time she looked at Mark and she wouldn’t stop smiling. It is a safe bet to say she is totally smitten and Mark is the same way. It’s so cute to see these two together and how considerate they are of one another.

The photo above has to be one of my favorite engagement photos of last year. We were at the Dallas Arboretum and they put up the large snow globe type structures though out the gardens. This particular one had icicles inside and I saw the back light add this cool sparkle to them. So I stood on one side and shot through the icicles as Danielle and Mark embraced each other in a kiss. I love getting real candid emotion like this in a creative way.

I love nothing more than smiles and a bright blue sky. It makes my heart sing!! Ok not really but it makes me really really happy and that is kinda the same thing, right!!

The colors we had during sunset were nothing short of magical and of course we did some silhouettes. No surprise there though. I love creative art work for my clients that feature them. It’s kinda really cool to hang a piece of art in your home where you are the subjects. It’s a great way to fill your home with artwork and with your engagement photos.

I will never get tired of this skyline!!!
