Leo and Rachida were recently wed in a beautiful ceremony in New York and I realized I never blogged their engagement photos we took here in Dallas. We took these a couple of weeks before they relocated to New York and we had to make sure to get the Dallas skyline in some of the photos.
I just love the story Rachida wrote about them so wanted to share it here.
“Much like a fairy tale…
Once upon a click of a button….and some salsa, Rachida and Libardo found each other.
In January 2011, a handsome Colombian from New York decided to make the first move. He sent an online message to a beautiful New York girl with Middle Eastern roots without realizing that it would change both of their lives forever.
The two love birds had long night conversations and shared daily emails with everyday occurrences until one day they couldn’t wait to meet each other in person, and in March of the same year they made a plan to do so.
Rachida, a true gypsy at heart, flew to Dallas, where Libardo was living at the time, to meet her Prince Charming. That first encounter was enchanting, filled with Middle Eastern food, jitters and smiles. They sealed their romantic evening with a first kiss. The more they learned about each other, the more they knew that their love was worth any risk, and the journey of life had made them who they are, perfectly in love with each other.
After two years of courtship, Libardo planned a romantic trip to Breckenridge, Colorado in February of 2013. With the breathtaking views of the snow-filled mountains as a background, Libardo got down on one knee and asked Rachida if she would be his wife and without hesitation Rachida said, YES!
The rest will be history…”
