I had so much fun getting to take these wedding portraits for Jackie and Josh and we met up in Fort Worth. I just fell in love with the classic, old Hollywood vibe of Jacke’s wedding dress and wanted the photography for the portraits to have an old 30’s style. The Kimbell Art Museum was perfect because of the architecture there and it really fit the aesthetic. I’ve always been drawn to street photography and especially the works of Gordon Parks and Henri Cartier Bresson and loved that Jackie trusted me with that vision.
The reflection pool in front allowed for visual interest and added a complexity to the images while still keep it simple. Also, the lighting was just perfect to really put emphasis on Jackie and her beautiful dress and cathedral length veil. I really appreciate brides, like Jackie, who allow me the space to bring a vision to light and the wedding photos taken in Fort Worth are really some of my favorite. So take a look and enjoy the images.
