Josh and Jackie’s Wedding Day at Kimball Art Museum

I had so much fun getting to take these wedding portraits for Jackie and Josh and we met up in Fort Worth. I just fell in love with the classic, old Hollywood vibe of Jacke’s wedding dress and wanted the photography for the portraits to have an old 30’s style. The Kimbell Art Museum was perfect because of the architecture there and it really fit the aesthetic. I’ve always been drawn to street photography and especially the works of Gordon Parks and Henri Cartier Bresson and loved that Jackie trusted me with that vision.

The reflection pool in front allowed for visual interest and added a complexity to the images while still keep it simple. Also, the lighting was just perfect to really put emphasis on Jackie and her beautiful dress and cathedral length veil. I really appreciate brides, like Jackie, who allow me the space to bring a vision to light and the wedding photos taken in Fort Worth are really some of my favorite. So take a look and enjoy the images.

Jackie’s sisters helped assist during the photo session. They both made sure Jackie’s dress train didn’t go into the water.
Getting those in between shots are just as special and the posed, more intentional images because they show how sweet couples can be. Here you see Josh slowly walking and helping hold Jackie’s dress so it doesn’t get dirty.
Love how Jackie is really highlighted here in her white wedding dress against the simple background really makes her shine.
How beautiful is this light!!!!!
We then hit Golden Hour and this is the light that is dreamy. It really adds such a cinematic effect. Just love!!!!
We then made a mad dash to White Rock Lake for sunset photos.
How Gorgeous is this!!!!

Josh and Jackie had a few left over sparklers from their wedding exit, so we utilized the remaining sparklers. Jackie’s sisters helped to create this look by running in circles. We had bottles of water to pour on the sparklers even after they burned out. Safety was the upmost importance when we took these. View more of our wedding photography, click K & S Photography
