In May I traveled up to New York to photograph the wedding of Chukwudi and Adaeze.  Theirs is the third Nigerian wedding I’ve had the opportunity to photograph and I always look forward to how much fun they are to photograph.  Everyone is full of joy and dances the night away.  When I arrived at the hotel to see Ada getting her makeup done, she was so calm and she just moved with grace around the room.  I didn’t see even the hint of jitters, she was ready to meet her Chukwudi at the aisle and be his wife and he her husband.  When I went up to snap a few photos of Chukwudi getting ready, he asked me how she looked, and if he could see, of course I wouldn’t let him :).  I loved his excitement and how he just couldn’t wait to see his bride.

I also was so excited to see a previous bride and groom of ours, Ifeanyi and Uju. Uju is Ada’s cousin.

I just adore Ada’s accessories, I think I took a million pictures of them.

And I love love love birdcage veils, so elegant and classic

This cracked me up, Ada taking pics of her sister as her sister was hamming it up.  I so had to snap a picture of it.

I feel in love with this church when googled it and in person it’s just stunning.

The anticipation of the ceremony about to start as Ada waited in the limo with her sister and dad. Here I could tell she was getting a bit anxious. It was so cute.

Oooh I can’t say enough how much I love the traditional Nigerian wedding attire.  The colors and detail of the outfits are just amazing!!!!!

I love how the little flower girl helped collect the money for Chukwudi and Adaeze, she was adorable.

And they partied into the night.  I don’t think the dance floor was empty for the rest of the night.

Congratulations Chukwudi and Adaeze.  I’m so happy to have captured these special memories for you and it was truly an honor being your wedding photographer.  I wish you years and years of wedded bliss.
