Last weekend I had 3 engagement sessions. I just love shooting engagement sessions. There really is nothing better than capturing the love of two people on camera. It’s why I love being a wedding photographer. I wanted to share a sneak peak of each of the 3 sessions. They were all down in Dallas and I love that all of them have such a different feel to them. All 3 couples rocked their sessions and we had so much fun so I hope you enjoy the pictures.
First up is Laura and Nathan. Laura let me know months ago that she wanted to take her engagement pictures at the Texas State Fair. I loved the idea!! Their session couldn’t come soon enough!! We met up at the Mockingbird Dart Station. They ended up running a few minutes late so I grabbed some Starbucks coffee, I hadn’t had my morning cup yet.
We arrived at the Fair and hopped to running around snapping pictures. These two are so much fun and I think they laughed almost the entire time. I love capturing my couples just having fun. I think my favorite ones were at the Mid-Way. I’m a sucker for bright colors and lights.
Laura and Nathan let me know they really wanted a picture in the grass because that was one of the first pictures they had taken together back in high school. So sweet, right.
Up next are Chris and Chrystal. We met up at Lee Park right in front of Arlington Hall. They were starting to set-up for a wedding that night and we kinda used that to our advantage. I mean how many times are you going to get to photograph a couple next to gorgeous chandeliers hanging in the trees. Killer, right!!
They choose Leet Park for their session because this park has so much meaning to them. They walk their dog here and Chris proposed in Lee Park. I love being able to photograph couples in a place that means something special to them. Plus the park is just gorgeous.
Chrystal looks stunning and I mean stunning in this blue dress!!! She totally rocked it with those killer shoes too!!
And the final couple is Shayne and Christie. We met up at the Dallas Arboretum Sunday morning. It was slightly chilly actually. I kinda really loved it after having one of the hottest summers ever. I love the Arboretum for so many different reasons. Its kinda like our little Oasis close to downtown Dallas.
I love all the stone steps, little arches, and hidden gems that exist. It’s really a new experience every time I go.
I have to share the funniest story. While we were taking pictures in this location, I had Christie and Shayne hugging and kissing just a little bit. Well up walks a family with a little boy and he loudly blurts out, EWW GRODDY!!! We all started dying laughing. It was one of the funniest things and kids certainly do say the darndest things.
So there is a sneak peak of my weekend of engagement pictures. Thank you so much Nathan & Laura, Chris & Chrystal, and Shayne & Christie. You all rocked your sessions and were just amazing to work with.
LauraI LOVE them!!! I can’t wait to see the rest!
Thanks Shauna!
