My parents came and to Texas to have Christmas with my husband and I, and we are so glad they were able to. We jam packed a lot of things in, like shopping, looking at Christmas lights and even going up to Oklahoma to the casino. On Christmas day, we had Christmas dinner at my husband’s cousins new house. On our way there, we stopped at White Rock so I could take some updated pictures of my parents. It’s hard to believe the last time I took photos of them was 18 months ago in New York (see those photos here). I was in New York to photograph a wedding and they joined me for a little mini vacation afterwards. Since that time, my dad has been working on getting healthy and has lost 55lbs. I’m so proud of him and how much his blood pressure has improved. It’s such a huge achievement and he wanted new photos taken. So being the ever so loving daughter I am, of course I obliged. Plus my parents do so much for me and always have, that I love I can give them such a great gift in return.
I told my parents the last time I took their photos, they are the hardest people I have ever photographed. Guess what, that still holds true. My Dad never stops talking long enough to listen to my instructions. And let’s face it, parent’s don’t want their child telling them what to do. They have a really hard time letting go of control long enough for me to take a great photo. Luckily, I work at lighting speed and was able to capture some great shots of them. Well that is after I told my Dad to hush hahahahaha 🙂
Merry Christmas Mom and Dad!!!!!! So happy to see you two so much in love and to know you are celebrating 34 years of marriage this May.
