  • Jonathan IvyThis is so true! Not only does a coordinator make the bride, groom & their families stress free, they make the vendors carry a whole lot less stress too. Planners are a definite! These are all such great points!ReplyCancel

  • Samantha FosterThis is so very true! Coming from a brides stand point and from a vendors stand point having a planner is a must, if you can’t afford a full coordinator which is ideal, make sure to at least have Day Of Coordination. It is essential to the couples and their parents having a smooth, enjoyable wedding experience. If you are going to spend all this time, money and love creating something, don’t skimp on implementation. All the greatest ideas and decor in the world are nothing without someone to put them in motion and keep them in motion. Great post!ReplyCancel

  • Chelsey Dane ArnalThanks for sharing Shauna! We love you! And we agree 100%!!ReplyCancel

Andy and Doug’s Same Sex Wedding at Off The Grid in Dallas | Dallas Wedding Photographers

This past Saturday we had the honor of photographing Andy and Doug’s Dallas wedding  at Off The Grid.  The weather didn’t quite cooperative as we kept the weather channel app open and crossing fingers the outdoor ceremony would occur.  No such luck after the skies opened up twice and the rain poured.  Andy and Doug...

  • Debbie McDonaldMany, many thanks to all of you that were involved in making sure that Doug and Andy’s ceremony was one of the most memorable evenings that any of us have ever attended. The decor, the delicious cakes (Ainsley had 8, I counted), the photos, the playlist, the food, the photo booth, and most of all the wonderful friends and family that joined us in the celebration of committment and love! Congratulations! MomReplyCancel

  • Debbie McDonaldMany, many thanks to all of you that put in so many precious hours to ensure that Doug and Andy’s ceremony would be one of the most memorable occasions ever attended! From the creative and delicious cakes, drinks and food, to the great playlist and music/dancing, the “popular” photo booth and most importantly, the beautiful ceremony. And, none of this would have been possible without the love and support from all our friends and family. We love you! Congratulations Doug and Andy!ReplyCancel

Checking out the Floral Side of Weddings

Christopher and Cara’s Creative Wedding at the UNT Performing Arts Hall

I have been meaning to share this wedding for awhile as I love all the unique decor elements and the orginality of this wedding.  I was designed by the talented Wendy Kay Tylaska of Birds of  a Feather.  She came up with a wedding favor of handmade soap with personalized jars.  She also did a vegetable/fruit...

Thanks for the anniversary nod, it’s hard to believe it has already been 2 years!ReplyCancel

        • Robert Welch | New Orleans Wedding PhotographerWhat a wonderful idea for a 2nd Wedding Anniversary, nicely done. The juxtaposition between the married couple dressed up in their wedding attire surrounded by the modern city hustle & bustle is an interesting project. I think it’s a nice concept to reflect the inner world of two people who have their own personal space with each other, in the context of the bigger, impersonal world we live in. These photos nicely show in an artistic way how we live this dual life between the romanticized world of weddings and nuptial bliss, and the cold, hard world of urban life.ReplyCancel
