Recently I met up with Bridgette and Carrie for their engagement photos in downtown Dallas. I’ve known Carrie for several years as she was a bridesmaid at a previous wedding I photographed. When I saw on FB she was now engaged, I was crossing my fingers she would contact me, and she did, yay!!!! We had a blast running around the arts district followed by Deep Ellum. These two are so cute and sweet together, they made photographing them a breeze. I love it when couples laugh together and we can get photos that really show off their personalities. I like fun and these two brought it ten fold. Plus I was able to explore some new areas in the arts district, which is always a fun!!
So sweet and really shows their love for each other.
I was so in love with the lighting here, it was really killer. If I could, I would bottle up this type of light and carry it with me everywhere. It made some really romantic portraits.
What would a photo session be with out a silhouette.
I had never shot this area before but I noticed the sun coming out from behind the building. It created this really beautiful and amazing burst of light, which was also reflected in the window right by them. So of course I used that to create a different more creative type of image.
I of course found a way to incorporate these sculptures into their photos. I knew the one below would totally fit them.
I couldn’t help the ooooh “it’s a plane image”. hahah not really and was total accident but went with it.
Can’t wait for these two to get married in March and so exciting to be their wedding photographer. It’s going to be a beautiful wedding.
