Kevin and Connie tied the knot this past Saturday at Mart Immaculate Church in Farmer’s Branch.  This is the church that Connie grew up so it was extra special to her and her family.   I feel that makes the wedding that much more special too.   After the ceremony we all headed over to Marc Events where they could party the night away and boy did they

Connie’s bridesmaids were her 3 sisters; you can tell how much her family means to her when you see them interacting together.  They kept running over and looking at Connie while she was getting her make-up done and gushing how beautiful she is.

I don’t even know where to begin with this post.  I will just warn that this is what happens when photographers get together to practice different lighting techniques.  Things just spiral until a crazy photo-shoot manifests and spouses are caught in the crossfire.  So this is the brain child that Humza of Humza Yasin Photography and I came up with last night.  Thanks so much to my husband Ray and Humza’s wife Jabeen for putting up with our craziness.  Oh and I should talk about the inspiration for the shoot.  We wanted to reveal a secret us professional photographers have kept under lock and key.  Yep I’m divulging it here today.  I am sharing with you how to get that soft subtle glowing skin that professional photographers get.  You may have heard it referred to as buttery, like oooh her skin just looks so buttery.  Well take a look at the pictures and discover our little secret

Oh and disclaimer, we do not actually spray any of our subjects with Pam Cooking Spray or put butter on their faces, these are mearly fun, goofy photos.  Only our spouses get this glorious treatment

Chelsea and Chris recently celebrated their 1 year wedding anniversary on March 12 and wanted to celebrate their first year with the coolest, funnest (is that a word) photo shoot.  Of course I was totally game.  We bounced a few ideas around and came up with a photo-shoot in the arts district in downtown Dallas.  You know I love anything city  The day was perfect and we had a blast taking these pictures.  Plus Chelsea is drop dead gorgeous (I know Chris agrees).  I won’t talk on any longer so you can enjoy the pictures

Yesterday we were a part of The Swoon Bridal Show that South Side on Lamar hosted.  Some of the best wedding vendors in Dallas were there from Southern Fried Paper, i-Entertainment, Couture Events by Lottie, The White Gown Showroom, A Stylish Soiree, Belmont Hotel, Brides of North Texas, Low Country Quisine, Vera Green Productions, K & S Photography and many many more.  There were so many cute ideas for brides to soak up for their upcoming weddings and I wanted to share just a few pictures I took with my i-Phone.  Hopefully these give you inspiration for your upcoming wedding

Several of my latest posts haven’t been related to weddings which I felt has been a good to insert some different types of photography into our blog.  But now its time to get back to showing weddings and couples in love  John and Trudy tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at the Tower Club in Dallas back in November.  It was mostly family that attended and lot of grandchildren who cracked me up.  One actually kept count of how many times I took his picture and told Trudy actually told me he counted 219 pictures.  The funny thing is I don’t doubt it.  He was a ham  I loved all the bright, fun colors in the flowers; Pamm of Bridal Blooms and Creations did a fabulous job.   And Trudy had one of my favorite planners, Shari Johns of As You Wish, she is truly one of the best wedding planners in Dallas and makes this wedding photographers job super easy  So enjoy these sweet, fun pictures

John and Trudy had a first look which allowed us to get almost all of the family pictures done before the ceremony so they had more time to spend with their friends and family.

I just love how when they look at each other, their eyes light up.

This is hands down my favorite moment from John and Trudy’s wedding. Right before John said “I do” he looked at all of his friends and family and gave a thumbs up.  This moment made it into our favorite special moments blog (go here to see).
