I’m so beyond happy to have had the opportunity to have photographed Brandon and Megan’s wedding at the Grand Hotel in McKinney. Megan had follow us on Facebook for quite some time before she realize I was the Shauna she went to high school with at Allen High School. Crazy small world right!!!! Shortly have we became FB friends, Brandon proposed to Megan and she was knee deep in wedding planning. I loved getting to help her with her wedding and give her a ton of recommendations. And I couldn’t be happier that she chose the Grand Hotel as their wedding venue. I knew Shawna and Melanie would take such could care of her, as they do all their brides and plus the food is to die for!!!! And Megan let me know her friends and family raved about the food.

I love when a bride uses those wedding vendors I recommend. Megan was had Ari of Alternative Wedding Services for her officiant and Rod Baker for her DJ.  These two are rockstars and truly made the day soooo special!!!!!! What was really cool too is that Megain’s bridesmaids helped make the flowers and her Mother-in-Law made the Groom’s cake for them. Everyone pitched in to make this such a wonderful wedding and pull Megan’s vision together.  And what a vision it was!!!!! I loved the use of books in their decor and how they used words to spell out their wedding date and words like Mr., Mrs. and love.  Such a cool idea!!!!

If you follow me, you know capturing those memories is what I love to do and man were there some great moments to capture!!! I loved capturing Megan’s sister fixing her veil, and Megan’s mother walking by the dress and just having to take a glance at how pretty it is as she let out a smile. Or Megan’s Dad giving a toast and seeing Megan and Brandon’s faces as he made the best joke of the night. My favorite though has to be the first dances and how sweet Megan and her Dad were and how Brandon and his Mom surprised everyone with The Twist. It was such a perfect evening and it was such an honor to be Megan and Brandon’s wedding photographer.

How could I forget the balloon bride and groom that was made my Brandon’s Dad.  So beyond cute!!!!!!!! And I tried to pose them but if you have every tried posing balloon people, it is quite challenging.  So let’s just say the groom is dancing disco behind the bride hahahahaha.
