Yesterday we were a part of The Swoon Bridal Show that South Side on Lamar hosted.  Some of the best wedding vendors in Dallas were there from Southern Fried Paper, i-Entertainment, Couture Events by Lottie, The White Gown Showroom, A Stylish Soiree, Belmont Hotel, Brides of North Texas, Low Country Quisine, Vera Green Productions, K & S Photography and many many more.  There were so many cute ideas for brides to soak up for their upcoming weddings and I wanted to share just a few pictures I took with my i-Phone.  Hopefully these give you inspiration for your upcoming wedding

I just loved working with Mark and Jamie, these two are so much fun and so in love.  We had a blast during their engagement session and at their beautiful wedding at the Dallas Arboretum.  I received this Thank You postcard in the mail a few days ago and  wanted to share because this truly validates what we do as wedding photographers.  They had the sweetest things to say. “Thank you so much for being our photographer! We love our photos and we love you. You did such a great job managing our wild families and captured some awesome moments! Thank you so much, you did a wonderful job! Jamie and Mark”

Plus I want to say Thank You to Mark and Jamie for the Thank You card, haha that does sound a bit funny but you get the drift.

Last week the Old Red Museum in Downtown Dallas had their open house for brides so they could come see Old Red and how it would look set up for a wedding.  I just love all the details they set up on the tables, its was stunning when you walked in.   One of my favorite things is to photograph all the little details at a wedding and so I was having a field day taking all these pictures. I encourage any idea stealing here for your wedding

I’m huge into Scrabble and at family get togethers we always play.  I think that is why I am so in love in using Scrabble tiles in your wedding decor.

On Thursday I had the opportunity to be a part of AFR’s National Tour as they stopped in Dallas for the very first time.  You are probably wondering what AFR is, well they are a company you can rent furniture from for your wedding. Here is their website so you can learn more about them http://www.afrevents.com/.

I’m going to give you fair warning with this post, some of the pictures may make you REALLY hungry.  I’ve been so meaning to share these pictures of David and Sara’s Wedding Rehearsal Dinner at Dakota’s Restaurant in Downtown Dallas. They were married in May at the Adolphus Hotel with a fabulous wedding planned by Shari Johns and her team at As You Wish.  Now we weren’t there wedding photographers, but I have seen the wedding pictures so I know the wedding was fabulous, plus with it being planned by As You Wish how could it not be  Shari contacted me because Sara wanted photographs of her rehearsal dinner and her wedding photographer couldn’t make it so I was happy to fill in.  Everyone was so nice and treated me like I was a member of the family.  And I have to say, some of the images are my favorite to date because of the real, intimate moments I had the pleasure of capturing.

So here is where I come in for some wedding advice, brides have you thought about having your photographer at your wedding rehearsal dinner?  If not, why not!!!!  Some of the most intimate, personal, and of course fun moments regarding your wedding happen at your rehearsal dinner.  So there is some food for thought for all you brides out there.
