Merry Christmas everyone!! This has been such an amazing year and we are sad to see it wind down and come to an end.  We have been so blessed this year to work with so many wonderful clients friends.   All of you have been amazing and we are so honored, to not only know you, but that you entrusted us to capture your wedding day, photograph your family, your event, etc.  Thank you for all of your kindness and support over the past year.

We want to give a big shout out to all of our brides and grooms this year. It was truly an honor to be your wedding photographer.  May you enjoy each other’s company this year and may your first Christmas as Husband and Wife be filled with love.

Also a huge thank you to all the vendors we worked with at these weddings. All of you did such an amazing job and we loved working with all of you.  We couldn’t do our job without all of you.

To all the families we captured this year, may you enjoy each other’s love this Christmas. We loved capturing memories of your family that will be cherished through the years.

And finally thank you so much for the love and support from our husbands, our families, and our friends.  You all kept us sane in this year when things got crazy.  We love you!!!!

Today is the family pictures of the Lathan Family.  I don’t even know where to start when I talk about this family.  I just love them.  I’ve been photographing Karen’s family for a few years now and I really just love seeing how her boys grow and change throughout the years.  Here is the session from last year and here is one of Jacob a few months after he was born, and our first session was while Karen was still pregnant with Jacob.   It is the coolest thing to go back and look at pictures and see how you kids grow and change.

For this session we met up at Lee Park in front of Arlington Hall in Dallas.  I have just fallen in love with this park and it is such a great place for pictures.

They were so cute, they couldn’t stop looking at the fountain.

I had so much fun photographing your family Karen and it is truly an honor to capture your family year after year.  I wish you a very Merry Christmas.

I can’t believe that Christmas is just a few short days.  For the next for days we will be showcasing our family portraits because that is one of the most important things about the Holidays, spending time with your loved ones.  First up is the John’s Family.   Shari Johns is one of the best wedding planners is Dallas; She owns As You Wish Events, so it was such as honor that she entrusted me to photograph her family.  We met up at the Frisco Heritage Museum to get some fun, candid family shots.

I just love her two boys, they are the sweetest kids and just adorable.  After we finished the session, we enjoyed a meal at Babe’s Chicken and there were a couple of girls who couldn’t take their eyes off of Austin. I’m sure Wyatt is going to be the same way (who just turned 1 so Happy Birthday Wyatt)   Oh and let me mention how gorgeous their eyes are, they certainly take after Shari.

I feel it is always important during family sessions to get pictures of just mom and dad.  I just love this one of Bobby and Shari.  So sweet!!!

Yesterday I showed my furry friends and now I wanted to show case two more very special fur children.  First up is Barrett.  He is Amanda’s baby, she is crazy about her dog um I mean fur kid.  We met up  in McKinney so we could get some pictures of Barrett for Amanda’s Christmas card on November 1st.  Ok not trying to get sad here but if you are a blog-stalker then you know that I lost my grandmother that day and I mentioned in my post dedicated to her that I had a session to do that day.  Well this was the one.  I was absolutely devastated that day but I went ahead with this session because I knew Barrett would make me laugh.  And did he.

Amanda bought some cute toys and one of them didn’t even last 30 seconds (see image below of Amanda and Barrett playing tug of war).  So I wanted to thank Barrett (and Amanda) for bringing a smile to my face that day and making me laugh (I so needed it)

Next up is Amy’s fur kid.  She is the cutest fur child with the bow. It is so precious.  These were actually taken back in August (I believe) so it was really hot out.  I think they turned out so cute!!!

Amy had seen a picture I had done with a dog in a tutu (she was the unofficial flower girl at a wedding I photographed) and wanted some pictures of her dog. So enjoy these cute pictures!!

I’m so excited to share Bella’s newborn pictures today.  She had just turned 3 weeks old when we took these and she is just adorable.  I really think that scheduling newborn pictures during their first few weeks is the best.  They still want to curl up and are so cute and they don’t squirm.  That allows you to put the cutest tutu’s, headpieces, etc on them and makes you just want to say awwww. 

I just love this hat!!!!

Oh I also have some really cool news to share.  My brother and his wife just found out they are having a boy so stay tuned in a few months for tons (I mean tons) of pictures of my nephew.
