Last week the Old Red Museum in Downtown Dallas had their open house for brides so they could come see Old Red and how it would look set up for a wedding.  I just love all the details they set up on the tables, its was stunning when you walked in.   One of my favorite things is to photograph all the little details at a wedding and so I was having a field day taking all these pictures. I encourage any idea stealing here for your wedding

I’m huge into Scrabble and at family get togethers we always play.  I think that is why I am so in love in using Scrabble tiles in your wedding decor.

I can’t begin to express how excited I am to share these pics!!!!!  I was given the opportunity to be a part of NACE (National Association of Catering Executives) September Meeting at Cowboy’s Stadium.  The wonderful and amazingly talented girls of Bring It On brought me on board to photograph all those involved in making the event happen and then took those pictures and put together a sports style booklet showcasing all the vendors/sponsors.   Also, I got to photograph at Cowboy’s Stadium, I mean seriously an experience I’m never going to forget.  Haha I sersioulsy can’t even put it into words how awesome it was.  I’ve posted the pictures below  Also I loved meeting all the vendors involved in making last night the huge success it was. I was truly floored in how over the top everything was.  And thank you thank you thank you for opening up your homes to me and allowing me to capture you with your families!!!!

Again, I’m just in awe of last nights event and getting to be a part of it was a dream.  Everyone worked so hard to make last night happen and I loved seeing all the hardwork pay off.

I’m so excited to share something different with you today.  My really good friend Marla of the PeaPod Group called me to come take pictures of the production of Ashley Lee’s music video for her song “Burned” at eM the Venue in the Dallas Design District.  Taking behind the scene pictures was so much fun as it is always amazing to see other artist at work and to document that process.

The picture above, Ashley is getting glamorous for her music video.  Dani Walker did such an amazing job on her make-up.  The entire team was wonderful to work with and I was so inspired watching Hd Decapo, Chris Gifford, Brad Jewell, Hollin Lange & Michael Fugate  work together and the vision they brought to life.  So enjoy the behind the scene pictures of the music video “Burned” by Ashley Lee.

This morning we were a part of the Grand Hotel in McKinney’s Open House for Brides and Grooms.  This is one of our favorite venues in the Dallas and Fort Worth Metroplex and is a wedding photographers’ dream.  If you are looking for venue, this is a must.

They were able to taste some of the delicious food by Rick’s Chophouse (it’s the restaurant that is in the hotel and caters all the weddings) and enjoy cake samples and gelato (so yummy!!!).  They also were able to see some tablescapes and different ideas for their wedding.  We were able to snap a few pictures of our Bridal Bloom and Creations’ table and a cake made by Sweet Art Bakery.  I hope this gets you inspired for your upcoming wedding and gives you some ideas.  I personally love the idea of having a gelato bar at your wedding in lieu of a groom’s cake, especially for summer weddings in Dallas.

Congratulations to all of the bride and grooms that are busy planning their weddings!! It was an honor to meet you and we hope your wedding is a dream come true.

I wanted to take a moment to share with our readers (ok I’m hoping we have some or maybe just a couple) a new wedding and event venue opening up in McKinney, The Terrace at Adriatica.  Ok some maybe wondering what is Adriatica, well its a wonderful community in McKinney that is being modeled after a village in Croatia.   

Well this Sunday, July 25 from 3-5pm they are hosting an open house.  So you can come see this spectacular venue for yourself.  They do have a website  (however its currently under construction), in the meantime though you can visit their Facebook page

If you are looking for a place to host any type of event such as a bridal shower, corporate party, cocktail party, rehearsal dinner, wedding, etc  you should keep The Terrace at Adriatica on your list of places to look at.  I promise you, it will not disappoint.
