Karey’s sister-in-law Kourtney recently had her baby shower and of course Karey took pictures  Karey and her mom hosted the shower for Kourtney and I have to say they did an amazing job on the decor and I love the diaper cake.  Kourtney is expecting a baby boy on March 29th.  Karey let me know what his name will be but we will wait and share that in a future post.  Hey we can’t spell all the secrets here.

Kourtney’s nursery is all about Boston Terriers,after her two pups Bucky and Shiner, so they had to include one on the cake as well! Didn’t it turn out super cute!!!

Kourtney was overwhelmed with the amount of gifts she received. She got her stroller, a high chair, tons of clothes and other baby supplies.  She is pretty set and ready for her bundle of joy to arrive.

And of course I made Karey get a picture with Kourtney because they both are expecting.  Karey is due on July 19th. I’m so excited for her and you can expect to see lots of baby pics in the months to come between Karey’s nephew and her own little one.   I know they are super excited to be pregnant together.

I meet up with Sergio and Lacey in Downtown Dallas for their Day After Session in December.  It was a bit chilly that day and Lacey was such a trooper and totally rocked this session.  Lacey totally put the session in my hands and let me pick the location so Downtown Dallas it was. I love the city vibe and the colors.  Plus it would allow for a very fun, modern session.  I love it when couples trust me and let me run rampant with my vision.  Plus I thought the city vibe worked really well with Lacey’s stunning dress from Circle Park Bridal (my favorite bridal boutique)

In other words, this wedding photographer had a ton of fun photographing this day after session.  I know Lacey and Sergio had a ton of fun as well.  Here is an email I received from Lacey (I love getting emails like this)

Hi Shauna,

Oh. My. Gosh.  I absolutely LOVE them.  I know I always sing your praises and tell you how much I love your work, but seriously, you have outdone yourself.  What a BRILLIANT idea to do the session in downtown Dallas!   I am so glad we did a day after session.  So glad.  I honestly don’t know what else I can say to communicate how absolutely amazing I think they are.  I love the buildings in the background.  I love all the different colors.  I love the black and white photos.  I LOVE the necklace – I think of it often, ha.  I love the way you “staged” us.  They have such a modern feel to them.  I love it.  I will have these pictures forever.  A forever memory stopped in time.  I can always look at these pictures and remember our wedding experience.  Tear!

The image below of Sergio and Lacey in front of the Neiman Marcus mannequin is probably my favorite for their session. Love it!!!

Lacey’s main wedding color was purple so when we came across these large purple circles in Downtown Dallas, of course we had to snap some pictures.

I just got home a little bit ago from Josh and Meredith’s Wedding at the Wildwood Inn in Denton and wanted to share a sneak peak of their wedding day.  This is such a great venue and Meredith looked simply stunning so it made photographing their wedding easy.   One of my favorite wedding trends is the bride’s dress with pockets so when I saw that Meredith’s dress had pockets, it made this wedding photographer jump for joy.

I meet up with Chris and Alyessa for their  fun Day After Session at the Dallas Arboretum in December.  I have to admit Day After Sessions are so much fun.  The wedding is over, the stress is gone, it’s really all about the bride and groom and getting some fun, amazing portraits that they can cherish forever.  I can tell you as  wedding photographer, wedding day can be a tad stressful but all that stress is gone with day after sessions.  I highly recommend them, trust me you won’t regret it once you see the pictures.

One of the many reasons I loved working with Chris and Alyessa is that they are so much fun.  Chris loves to crack jokes and make Alyessa laugh and you can tell these two laugh together a lot (which I love).  We really had a blast running around the Arboretum snapping pictures.  I have to say, we were also blessed with some amazing light, it made the Dallas Arboretum feel like a new spot. And of course with a absolutely stunning bride like Alyessa, you know the pictures will be amazing.  Oh and isn’t her dress killer.
